Our founders, staff, and volunteer crew members share the same belief: that the collective journey at sea can provide tools and insights that stay with participants long after they return to shore. We take particular pride in our vibrant community of volunteers – more than 50 dedicated men and women. All receive regular training both in seamanship and in group facilitation, and each plays an essential role in the transformative process that unfolds on board

A third-generation seafarer who has been sailing since childhood, Yosele has spent the last 15 years instructing sailing and extreme water sports globally. As a senior instructor at ‘Derech Hayam,’ he witnessed firsthand the transformative power of the marine environment and its profound impact on those who truly connect with it. This initiative is his way of channeling that power to where it can make the greatest difference.
